The Department of Environmental Health promotes a clean, healthy and sustainable environment across Kuje Area Council through environmental inspection and monitoring, waste management, pest and vector control, and forestry conservation.
Responsibilities
- Promote environmental cleanliness, sanitation and public health.
- Inspect and monitor environmental and sanitary conditions across the Council.
- Coordinate waste collection, disposal and management services.
- Control disease vectors and pests within communities.
- Promote afforestation, forestry conservation and greening initiatives.
- Coordinate environmental awareness and sensitization programmes.
- Collaborate with relevant agencies on environmental and public health matters.
