Responsibilities
- Support educational development programmes within the Area Council.
- Liaise with relevant education authorities and institutions.
- Coordinate social welfare services and support for vulnerable persons and families.
- Promote community participation in education, culture and social development.
- Support sports development and community sporting activities.
- Coordinate culture, tourism and community heritage programmes.
- Administer the statutory marriage registry.
- Monitor education- and social development-related projects and interventions within the Council's jurisdiction.
